About me

I taught sixth-grade math in Richardson and Plano ISD, and I loved it, genuinely, not the polite kind of loved-it people say about jobs they've left. But somewhere in the middle of tracking student data, spotting the patterns behind who was struggling and why, I realized the part I loved most wasn't the classroom. It was the digging. Turning a mess of numbers into an answer no one had seen yet.

So I followed that thread into data and analytics, and I haven't looked back. These days I build the systems that catch bad data before it causes problems, and there's a version of the same instinct in it every time: something's off, why, and how do we fix it so it doesn't happen again.

Outside of work, I'm the Hospitality Coordinator for our middle school's PTA, which mostly means Teacher Appreciation Week logistics, raffle systems I probably over-engineer, and making sure the people who show up for kids feel seen. I also make personalized stamps, write about the tools of the analyst trade, and am teaching myself web development one page at a time, this site included.
